The Setting

Most currently available MMORPG's are set in fantasy worlds, full of elves, dragons, and magic, such as EverQuest or Dark Age of Camelot. Most of the rest are set in a science fiction world of the future, like Anarchy Online or Star Wars: Galaxies. City of Heroes will be the first MMORPG set in a comic book world of Super Heroes, filled with spandex-clad freedom fighters and mad scientists trying to take over the world. As a hero, it will be your job to save old ladies from getting mugged, break up drug cartels, and defend the city from Nazis, aliens, robots and more.
