Enhancement Guide (in progress)

Enhancements

Welcome, boys and girls, ninjas and pirates, to BugBite's happy little guide to enhancements. This guide is meant to help those of you who don't quite get the whole enhancement thing -- what they are, why you want them, all that jazz. So without further ado, prepare to be guided.

What are enhancements?

Basically, enhancements are a way to specialize your powers. They're like loot in that you obtain them by defeating villains or purchasing them in stores, but once they're slotted you can't remove them without destroying them. So what do they actually do? Well, they make your powers better in specific ways of your choosing. For instance, say you've got power blast. You decide you like the power, but you'd like it better if it did more damage. Pop in some damage enhancements, and presto chango your power blast does more damage every time you hit with it. However, your buddy decides he'd like the power better if he didn't miss so darn often, so he slots in a bunch of accuracy enhancements and becomes the ace shot who never misses (or almost never...). Enhancements make powers better and allow for customization even when two people have the same powers.

So how do they work, exactly?

Every power comes with one free enhancement slot. Starting at level 3, every odd level you get enhancement slots to allocate (until the 30's when you get slots at levels 31, 33, 34, 36, 37, 39, and 40). These slots allow you to place enhancements on those powers you've given slots to. If you don't add slots to a power, it can only have one enhancement.

Once you've got open slots, then you can place enhancements. You get enhancements from defeating villains and by purchasing them at a store. You can access your enhancement inventory, which holds 10 enhancements maximum, by clicking on the enhancements button on your power tray.
