"Scrubs" Star Donald Faison's a Sucker for MMOs
Actor Donald Faison's a common sight on stage and screen, courtesy of popular television show "Scrubs," in which he stars alongside indie icon Zach Braff, and films like "Uptown Girls" and "King's Ransom." But did you know the performer - an avowed videogame and MMO junkie - also puts in appearances just as frequently on your local Star Wars: Galaxies server?
Chances are, the answer is no: As the goofy medicine man reveals in another LQGaming Services: exclusive, he (rather strangely, we might add) always prefers disguising himself as a member of the fairer sex. Don't tell the producers of new Spike TV show "The Playbook," an all-purpose, how-to guide for guys which the thespian hosts, about his gender-bending romps, however. He might get canned, and you know what that means: It'd be right back to those all-day marathon sessions with the leading sci-fi MMO:
LQGaming Services:: We hear you're a huge fan of Star Wars: Galaxies. What is it that makes the game so appealing?
Donald Faison: Well, Star Wars was one of the first movies that ever made me want to be an actor. Hanging with Wookies, getting to fight it out with Jabba. That's some crazy stuff. At one point, I used to dream about being Han Solo. Now, thanks to the game, I can even fly the same type of transport, a YT-1300, as him.

LQGaming Services:: Given that this is the case, how well do you feel the title actually captures the Star Wars experience?
Donald Faison: It took the game a while to get there, but I think it's feeling like the real thing more and more every day. I heard this dude recently conquered a whole server, which was controlled by Imperials, with just a handful of Jedi and bounty hunters. He overthrew the Imperials - that's quite a lot of people he had to take down - and made it a Rebel server. He took the whole server! That's Star Wars, right there. That's what we, as gamers, want to be playing.
LQGaming Services:: Why type of character do you yourself play?
Donald Faison: She's a Jedi. But she keeps getting her ass kicked, because she's not really high level right now. If she was more powerful, it wouldn't be an issue, you know what I mean?
LQGaming Services:: Sorry. did you say "she?"
Donald Faison: Yeah. I don't know why, I always play a woman when I play videogames.
LQGaming Services:: Ever find a lot of horny aliens putting the moves on you?
Donald Faison: Oh yeah! I get hit on by Bothans, Wookies, Mon Calamari. It doesn't matter. I say no. She's a prude. I keep it tight. [Laughs]
