Order of the Silver Dragon

Guild Spotlight: Order of the Silver Dragon
DDO:What makes your guild different from other guilds?

Sook: Our community (Order of the Silver Dragon) is far more than a DDO gaming guild. We are a group of friends with common interests, goals, and expectations from DDO itself. Our style of play has crafted each DDO online session into an experience reminiscent of our day enveloped in the paper and pencil version.

DDO:What are the requirements to get accepted into your guild?

Sook: First and foremost, it is important for you to clearly understand who we are, what we value, and most importantly, how you might fit into our community. If a player is interested in becoming a part of this community, we would encourage them to visit our stronghold at www.silverdragons-lair.net

DDO:visitor can anticipate the following steps to become a member:
Sook:
1) Register an account (kick off the application process)
2) Go to our visitor's forum and post an introduction about yourself
3) While your application is being reviewed, we encourage players to visit our guild archives (found in the main menu) and catch up on current events typically posted as announcements and "sticky" threads

DDO:How are you going to choose a server, so everyone can get on the same one in a timely manner?

Sook: Our community will vote and agree on a server preference.

DDO:What are the goals, if any, of your guild?

Sook: Our main goal is to explore all of the content DDO presents at a pace that allows us to appreciate the marvelous wonders the gaming world has to offer.

DDO:Is your guild a Roleplaying guild? If so, is it required?

Sook: Anything that we can do within the community to enhance upon the gaming experience will be done. Role playing may be a large part of that vision. Guild members are welcome to enjoy any gaming style they wish. We acknowledge what makes DDO so special. DUNGEONS & DRAGONS is classic roleplaying and we embrace those that will take the online gaming experience to those levels.

DDO:Will you have a loot rules system, or just go with the in game mechanics?

Sook: We will be going with in game mechanics.

DDO:Will you be concentrating on getting certain classes to join?

Sook: At this point, what is more important than the player class, is the player themselves. We value the inclusion of new personalities.

DDO:Do you have a website, or will you be using some system like the guilds website to help run the web side of your guild?

Sook: Although we do have our own website, we would be very interested in determining how lqgaming.com might be able to enhance upon our community development. The Order of the Silver Dragon can be found at www.silverdragons-lair.net.

DDO:Are you going to push your guild members to the level cap? Or let them play at their own pace?

Sook: We do not want to pressure anyone. Every DDO session should be played with all senses alert. Each quest and story encountered in the DDO world should be enjoyed to its fullest. We see no reason to rush anyone through the content to achieve a specific level. Our community goal is to touch every corner in every dungeon, catacomb, sewer, marketplace, etc., but only at the desired pace of the individual member.

DDO:What will be your guilds main playing time, if any? Are you looking to get members located in the same time zone?

Sook: Presently, we have members throughout North America and in some other distant locales. In order to accommodate fluctuating schedules amongst members, in conjunction to managing widespread time zones, we have assigned officer responsibilities to individuals across multiple locations.

DDO:What is your guild name, any meaning behind it, and where did it come
from?

Sook: The Order of the Silver Dragon was a specialized detachment of the army of Cyre. During the Last War, their objective was to acquire any magical and scientific technologies to further advance Cyre's foothold in winning the war. The fates, capricious as they are, had plans of their own.

Sook: The decimation of Cyre on the Day of Mourning drove the Order to the relatively unexplored land of Xen'drik: to Stormreach, the city built on the ruins of long extinct Giants. It was in this city that they regrouped and established themselves. Gaining popularity and respect their numbers grew and adventurers began to seek them out by name.

Perhaps the ancient land of Giants, may soon be populated with giants once again, for the Order of the Silver Dragon is saturated with great people.

DDO: Thanks for all the information about your guild Sook, DDO wishes you well, and if there's anything we can do to help your guild grow, just let us know! Once again, you can find out more information about the DDO guild, by going to their website at: http://www.silverdragons-lair.net/
