Fighters Walk Through

I started my warrior as a dwarf for the extra constitution and I love the search bonus as well. I put all my points into constitution, some in dex, and the rest in strength.

I took the Toughness Feat to give me more hitpoints (It gives me 3 additional hitpoints at the first level, and 1 more hitpoint at each additional level), and I also took the Two Handed Fighting feat so that I could hit more critters in one swing.

I went through the 1st 2 quests in the Smuggler's Rest. The first is in the Rook's Gambit called Euphonia's Challenge. It's a simple run through, where you have to click on different items (usually with a big blue arrow pointing it) Kill a few spiders, and talk to the final npc. Talk to the NPCs outside to finish the quest, and move on to the next quest that goes with your class. For a fighter it's the Combat Training Door. It's really easy to finish. You just kill 3 monsters and move on. I would say pass it, but you can get some money to help buy a better weapon from Four-Fingered That. It's also part of a quest, Buy A New Weapon that you get when you finish the first quest.

Once you have completed that, talk to the pirate next to the boat, and go to The Harbor.

Now that you have made it off the boat to Stormreach, your main goal is to get inside the city gates that are closed off to outsiders at the moment. You can go get into the city at anytime, but the quests are much better xp wise outside the gates, and I suggest you finish all of those first. There is also some good money and weapons.

Talk to the first NPC you see right up past the boat, Lord Gerald Goodblade. Go through his dialogue, and he will send you to talk to the barkeep in the Wavecrest Inn.

Inside, you will talk with Sigmund Bauerson and get the Old Sully's Grog quest. This involves going through the door behind him, and clicking on the cask in the back right corner. This will open a door to a room, where you will find another switch that will open a door. Walking down a hallway, you will see a sleeping kobold. Kill him, and then open the 2 chests. Don't forget to click on the mushroom behind you!

Once you have that, hit the finished button and go talk to the barkeep again. He will send you to the priest near the door, and this will start the quest, Thwarting the Threat.

In this quest, you will be heading back down into the same basement area, and be able to go through the next door. A side quest you get here is for Aida's Necklace, and Kill 10 kobolds. Just head down the hallway, kill the kobolds as you find them. Open the chest along the way. To get Aida's Necklace, climb the ladder on the right side, that is overlooking the opening in the hole. It is in the treasure chest up there.

Then, climb down the ladder into the pit, and click on the Alter thing. This will trigger an earthquake of sorts, and you now run back up the ladder and back out of the room. The final door will spawn Jacoby Drexelhand, The Madman. He is a really tough opponent, and it's best to keep trying to get to his back, and not go toe to toe with him. The more you move, the harder it is for him to hit you. Be sure to use your potions if you need to.

Once you kill him, open the chest, and head back up towards the tavern. When you get out of the basement, talk to Sigmund behind the bar, and to Aida in the back corner to get some coin for your heroic deeds.

Now you are ready to talk to Lord Gerald Goodblade again. Come back next week for the next part of this walk through!
