The Sleeper (Kerafyrm)
The Sleeper, otherwise known as Kerafyrm for you formal types, is used mostly as a point of reference in the EverQuest world. To go into more detail, I'll give you a nice timeline.
EverQuest Online Adventures: 500 years before he wakes.
EverQuest Live: The date when the Sleeper wakes.
EverQuest 2: 500 years after he wakes.
Now, it's been said that the welfare of the Sleeper in EverQuest is of concern and some question. It is believed that the reason a GM once depoped Kerafyrm before he was killed was so the team of EverQuest 2 could preserve the storyline. Incorrect. Regardless if The Sleeper gets killed or not in EverQuest Live is of no concern or relevance to EverQuest 2. There is no devious plot to keep the Sleeper alive for the next 500 years for the sake of the storyline of EverQuest. I mean, com'on. You don't see them stopping us from killing Sir Lucan over and over? *wink*
