MEDIA ALERT - August 3, 2004 - To promote the launch of its highly-anticipated, groundbreaking online fantasy game, EverQuest II, Sony Online Entertainment today announced the Discover the Riches of EverQuest® II Sweepstakes. From now until September 30, 2004, moviegoers across the Regal Entertainment Group's exhibitor chain have a chance to win one of thousands of prizes, and a chance to enter a sweepstakes to win two Jeep Wranglers.
Game pieces are now available on large popcorn tubs and drinks, as well as in theatre lobbies at Edwards Theatres, United Artists Theatres, and Regal Cinemas. Consumers can then register at www.everquest2.com/riches to see if they've won, and view one of 15 EverQuest II videos highlighting the playable races in the game at launch. There is no purchase necessary, and a free virtual game piece can be obtained at the official site www.everquest2.com/riches.
Consumers can play once a day and can tell a friend to sign up for a virtual decoder for even more chances to win.
