| I was messing around with my EQ2 settings the other day because I was getting some bad video lag, so I hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete and realized I could up the "priority" of specific program. So I set my EverQuestII.exe from Normal to High prirority. Suddenly my framerate about doubled and my mouse was no longer lagging. Here's what I did: * Ctrl-Alt-Delete * Processes Tab * Right-click on EverQuestII.exe while you have the game running * Set-Priority --> High DO NOT set it to Realtime, because this will directly tie the game to your CPU clockspeed and any hiccups in game could crash your system. I'd also like to suggest you attempt this at your own risk, because adjusting priorities can cause some instabilities. However, this has worked for both me and my friend with a very low end system. If you have a really low end system, you may experience that some other programs won't be running as well, and that's because it's devoting more system resources to running EQ2. Hope this is a help to some people! PS. You will have to make these settings changes every time you restart the game because it resets. :( |
