| Many of you out there are very dedicated to your guild, and one of your goals as a member is helping to progress and level it. There are a few factors to help increase productivity and contribution to leveling your guild, while minimizing the grind and pains sometimes associated with it. I'm going to give you a few pointers and suggestions to ease the process and get those rewards that much sooner. Patrons In order for status points earned to count towards your guild level, the points must be earned by a Patron. The optimum number of patrons is 12 people, or two full groups worth. Anything under that, and the game will have penalties for having too few, and anything beyond 12 will lower the percentage of points contributed by each patron. The way the system works, the number of patrons you have determines the percentage of points that count towards the guild experience. The more patrons you have, the lower the percentage of points count towards the guild. It requires all the patrons to be active to account for their role on the team. For example: 20 Patrons - 100% / 20 = 5% contributed from each patrons points earned. 50 Patrons - 100% / 50 = 2% contributed 12 Patrons - 100% / 12 = 8.3% contributed As you can see, the most efficient guild is one with an small organized team. If you have a larger team, but people are inactive, it can hurt the guilds exp rate. Earning Guild Exp There are 2 ways to earn Status Points, which count as guild experience; Writ Quests and Heritage quests. Writs are tasks which are assigned by the city and give you status points on completion rather than adventuring exp. The level of writ is determined by your adventuring level and new writs will be given once you level past a certain point. They are based on Teirs, just as all other steps are organized in the game. Tier 1 writs - level 1 to 9 Tier 2 writs - level 10 to 19 Tier 3 writs - level 20 to 29 Tier 4 writs - level 30 to 39 Tier 5 writs - level 40 to 50 As you recieve higher level writs, they will become more challenging, but also yield a greater number of points. Points range from 1,000 points at the lower levels to 5,000 at the higher levels. Heritage quests are where the status points are really at. On completion of a heritage quest, you will recieve not only a cool piece of equipment, but also between 35,000 and 50,000 status points! That's equivelent to doing 1 writ 35 times at the lower levels. The limiting factor, however, is each person can only do each heritage quest 1 time. However, there are well over 20 different heritage quests in game right now, and each patron finishing those adds up quickly. My guild was able to get from level 10 to 15 in one weekend by completing heritage quests, and we'd been struggling to earn 10 percent by pounding out tiresome writs. Heritage quests are much quicker and more efficient than writs, and a lot more fun to do too. So get to work, have fun playing and good luck on leveling your guild! |
