Chocobo License

Chocobos are your best friend in this game. Traveling from place to place is so much faster and more efficient than ever! However, you are not allowed to have a chocobo until the level of 20.

Once you reach level 20+, get a group of friends and head over to Jeuno.

Once in Jeuno:

1. Run to Jeuno upper and find the chocobo stables.
2. Talk to Brutus, he's under the tent thing
3. Brutus will ask a series of questions (if you are not lvl 20 he will say you are not worthy of riding a chocobo), answer using the first choice and then for the second question the second choice.
4. After that, talk to Osker (the guy next to the chocobo).
5. Get some gausebit grass they are dropped by the Wadi Hare in Dangruf Wadi (near bastok) or buy them in the AH for about 700 gil.
6. Go head over to the chocobo that was next to Osker and trade a grass to it.
7. Wait one FFXI day then trade another grass to it.
8. Keep doing this until it eats all four. (it might reject the grass the first couple days)
9. You have your license!

Please note that from lvl 15-19 you will not be able to ride the chocobo as long (only 15 minutes) as if you were level 20.
Also, the new patch changed the requirement to ride a chocobo to 15, however in order to get the chocobo license you must be level 20.
