GuildWizard Welcome Walkthrough
Welcome to GuildWizard, LQGaming's premier hosting service for all your guild's needs. Why spend so much time designing a site from the ground up when you can have instant access on our servers without the need to heavily design or manage an entire server? This article is designed to give you a simple step-by-step introduction on how to sign up for the service, access your account, what to expect, and where to ask for assistance.
Step 1: (Introduction)
Register your guild at: login
(If you aren't a registered member of the LQGaming Network you'll register there first.)
Step 2: (Filling in registration fields)
Fill in the following fields:
Guild Name: (Name of the guild)
Choose your game: (Game your guild will be playing)
Desired Guild Address: (this is the address you will access your guild account)
Administrator Username: (Your admin login name to control the guild site)
Administrator Password: (Your admin password to control the guild site)
Confirm the Password: (Simple confirmation to ensure you typed it right)
Confirmation Email Address: (This is where your confirmation email will go to)
Then hit SEND, or if you didn't do something right and want to start over hit RESET
Hitting SEND you'll see a quick confirmation that it was sent to your email. If it says "The URL you specified is already taken! Please choose another." Then you already previously registered your account or a account. If you did not receive anything in the email in 24 hours then contact us at guildsupport@lqgaming.com and request to reset your account (be sure to give the url and all pertinent information for a proper reset!)
Step 3: (Click on email confirmation)
Please allow up to 24 hours for email confirmation (although usually it is within a few minutes). You will receive an email titled: postermaster@guildwizard.com. Open the email and click on the provided link.
A new page will show up where you will then click on the Confirm Email link that will come up with a new message stating that your guild site is being processed and a new email stating how to access your guild site will appear in the same email box you received the original letter from
Step 4: (Access your guild site through the second email)
As soon as you receive an email titled: Your GuildWizard.com Guild Account, you will see information about your guild URL, the username and pass you signed up with, along with simple instructions on how to login to your account and how to begin editing. Below is what you should see as a template in this final email:
Your GuildWizard.com guild account has been created! You may begin configuring it immediately, but please read this message before you head over to your new site! This message contains information on the steps needed to configure your site.
Your site URL is: http://yoursite.GuildWizard.com
Your Administrator Username is: username
Your Administrator Password is: password
You can change your Administrator Password by clicking on the link, on the login screen.
Steps to configuring your site:
. Go to your site, click the Login Button, and login with the above Username and Password
. After you successfully login, you will see a link at the top-left of the screen for the administration pages. Click the Style Editor link to start styling your site.
. You can choose a pre-made template, or start customizing your colors with the editor.
. The Control Editor allows you to create your own controls, such as buttons, images, and custom HTML panels.
. After you are finished styling your site, and maybe created a control or two, you can move the elements around in the Layout Editor. You will find the link the Administration panel.
. You can add members to the Roster by clicking on the Roster button. You will see a link at the top of that page to manage the Roster.
Of course, these are only to get started. Guild Wizard has many more features and options than the above. The best way to get a feel for all the options is to use the service and experiment!
