Raid Dump

Raid Dump Tutorial

Ever wanted a quick and easy way to add raids to your site without spending hours adding each individual, especially if you have to do it two or three times a week? Here is a way to do it through our raid dump system.

Follow these quick steps and you'll save a ton of time setting up your raids:

-------------------------------

First, you have two options if you play EverQuest Live. If you do not, just skip to section B), and then follow up with C) for World of Warcraft):

A) Use the /who list and capture that into a .txt file, like so:

[Wed Oct 12 14:23:43 2005] [60 High Priest Cleric)] Berek (High Elf)

This should all come up automatically by using the /who command. Just capture it in a file.

B) Create a batch file (we prefer you use Microsoft Word if possible) you can edit later on, like so:

1 Berek 60 Cleric
2 Tesla 54 Warrior

What is key is the number designated for the row and the name of the player (which must match your roster name!). Level and class are simple confirmations. Also be sure to tab between the columns.

Once you have the .txt file setup, save, then select it through the Raid Manager by going to:

1) Add New Raids
2) Batch Entry
3) Browse button, select raid .txt file
4) Choose which type of file, if it's the /log from EQ or a simple Raid Dump File
5) Click on send batch
5) A list should come up. If so, review and if it looks good click on Save Raid. If it does not, check the file for formatting accuracy. If a player name doesn't match the roster you will get a warning when submitting the raid.

-------------------------------

That's it! Points should be added to each player depending on what you enter in the 'Default Raid Point Value' box. This is a great way to gather all the members of a particular raid and get their points updated without spending too much time adding each one individually.

If you have questions about the raid process and would like to ask the community, please feel free to use the GuildWizard community forums. If there is a part of this process that you can refine, please contact us with details at guildsupport@lqgaming.com.
