Walkthrough curteousy of Cafeen
The Batch roster update process was made for EQ (I believe, it worked perfectly in there), however, WoW does not have a Guild Dump to TXT file option incorporated.
I have figured out a way to do this though using the Catchafire addon's export feature. It takes some fanagling, but it's been working great.
1) Use the CAF AddOn and copy the text out of the window (CAF prints guild info to a window in the game rather than an external file).
2) Paste the whole thing into a new notepad and save as [whatever].CSV.
3) Open in Excel (this is to edit properly more easily than just in notepad view).
4) Remove all but the Name, Level, and Class columns and save as a TXT file. (Copy/paste out if needed).
5) Use the batch process to upload this text file and you're there.
This emulates the important fields of the EQ dump file (luckily I was playing both at the time I decided to check this method out). There is no race info in the batch entry (nor is there any in the export) so people will go in as "Human", but this can be edited by them logging on and fixing it.
It also will not update any existing members, only add new ones, so the members will have to login and update themselves.
