Basics | Guild Listing

Guild Creation
Any player not already affiliated with a group can create a Guild and it can be done at the cost of 500 gold. The following options are available at the creation screen:

 

Guild Name - The full name of the guild.
Tag - Similar to an acronym, the letters will appear beside each member's name.
Tabard - The emblem member's will have, used to identify the various guilds.

Tabard Design
The emblems and general tabard design can be altered to fit the guild leader's taste, as many options are available. Players should spend a bit of time working on them to make sure they are what they truly desire as they cannot be altered unless the leader recreates the guild [after disbanding the original]. Tabards appear on each member's chest and back and if correctly designed, they can be quite effective at determining, even from afar, who's who on the battlefield.

 

Style - General format of the tabard [ex: bordered, gradient ]
Emblem - The logo which will be used, players can select from a very large variety.
Primary Color - Used differently depending on the style. [ex: the background color of the tabard]
Secondary Color - Used differently depending on the style. [ex: the color of the border]

Guild Roster
By clicking on the 'Guild' tab, members are able to see who all the members are as well as which are online and for those offline, how long they have been so. Members fall under three categories: Leaders, Officers, Members. Officers have greater permissions than members, while the Leader has even more.

Guild Announcements
Both Leader(s) and Officer(s) can create a Global Guild Announcement, a message which appears to all members as soon as they login in with their character. The message can be edited in the 'Guild Status' section within the Guild Tab.

Guild Halls
These are large keep like buildings, protected by large walls and gates. They are more than merely a social gathering for members, as Guilds can also launch attacks against other halls from this area. Guilds will be able to protect their stronghold by buying mercenaries to defend it. There have been mention of a statue of the leader being created somewhere within the hall's general area.

Guild Tournaments [PvP]
Tournaments will pit guilds against other guilds, the victor will then move up the ladder and hope to one day be at the top. Being at the top of the ladder will give numerous benefits and the most obvious is respect and prestige. Rewards will be given to those who reach the top, but it is unclear what will be given. Once a Guild reaches the top, they are far from being permanently instated as other guilds will try and over throw them.

Guild History
History appears in a subsection within the Guild Tab, it displays who has been invited and by who.

Guild Bulletin Boards
Not implemented yet. We do know that Guilds will, at release, be able to create a bbs for their own use.

Guild Shared Storage Space
Not implemented yet. There will be shared storage space for Guild Members, probably located within the Guild Hall.
