The ABC's of questing
Questing is part of the fundamental nature of Guild Wars as the game is centered on quick access to action packed areas. Simply put, players will choose a mission they want to do (grouped or alone) and they will be teleported to the mission. It will be instanced, meaning even though many players/groups could be doing the same mission they will never be in contact with others as they are playing in a different 'world', so for example sake: Two groups decide to do the same mission separately and both are teleported to the mission, although the map might look the same they are never in contact as they are both in private missions.

Rewards
Following the completion of a quest, all characters of the party are given experience points and a skill point. Players who redo the same quest will not receive another reward. Most quests have one main objective and a secondary quest which also offers a reward. Players who do not accomplish the secondary quest the first time around can complete it at a later point and receive their reward.

Accessing Quests
Characters must progress through the questing system in order to gain access to more areas, as all maps are linked together. For a player to gain access to map number 2, he/she must first complete the first area [secondary objective is not required].

Participation Cap
Quests maps always limit the number of individuals allowed in a group, but the exact cap depends very much on the area in question as some may limit groups to 4 while others are more generous with 8. A single player can join the quest if he/she wishes but will almost always find himself faced against a too high of difficulty and it is often best to join the mission with the recommended amount of characters.

Difficulty
The level of difficulty of a quest map does not scale depending on the number of players participating, if the map is meant to be hard then the monsters will be as powerful if 8 players joined or if a player decided to attempt it alone.
