You find them in the wilderness then you need to use a skill called charm then the lynx is yours. During the e3 alpha the lynx could not be resurrected but that could have changed. Yes the lynx can gain levels also it can evolve into new forms as it levels.

They should make a lot of pets for the ranger to tame that is one of there skills if you only had 3 creatures to choose from there would be no each to his own type thing. ALso i think that the rangers should be able to ride there pet and equip them with weapons and armor. Ex. a tigger with monuted blades on his claws and back armor and head armor that would be cool or what. But then to make it fair the would reduce the creatures ablity to dodge or miss hits that he could have before so he would take more damage but dish out more to it is just a thought

Pets are very helpful. More pets will be implemented through further betas and upon release. Pets do gain levels. There are only about 3-4 at the moment. You cant put armor on pets.

I have a mountin loin and he is awesome. every time I level up so does my pet. The only problem is that the garud brids keep attacking him.

if ur pet dies it cant get taken u have a skill to heal it and ressurect it but it has a slow recharge time they will be coming out with more pets in the future im sure of it

im a necroranger you do the quest in regent vally which gives you the charm then when doing the quest you get the cat there is a guy near the quest giver he will take your pet if you want to then you can go charm another pet you can rivive your pet and keep him as long as you want im workingon getting the bear you can charm him its just so hard to

Taming is done by simply targeting the animal and using the Charm animal skill. You have to wait for it to work during which the animal will be hostile attack you. This means if you have henchmen theyll probably end up killing it before you finish the charm Rangers have a heal pet skill which can also be used to resurrect dead pets. The pets you can tame include Strider pre searing Ascalon Moa Bird same as Strider but seen on post searing Ascalon Melandrus Stalker seen in both pre and post searing Ascalon Snow Wolf seen in shiverpeaks Lynx seen in Kryta Maguma jungle Warthog again Kryta and Jungle Desert Lizard seen in Crystal Desert and Bear seen around Droknars Forge. Ive heard you can apparently tame a lvl 20 spider in one mission but i dont know the details offhand. Pets level up over time although they dont gain skills. You can however gain skills for your character that affect the pet - such as telling them to make a more effective lunging attack. Pets will remain with your character provided you have Charm Animal equipped when leaving town until you get rid of them by talking to the animal trader she can be found next to the Ranger in pre-searing and next to Ascalon city in post-searing. You dont get any money for this. You change the name of your pet with petname followed by whatever the new name is.

its made that way so you can only get a bear around Drokners forge becuse lets face it bears are cool so the better the animal looks the longer you have to wate to get it

there are many pets melandrus stalkermoa bird snow wolf lynxbeardune lizard nad spider i think thats all but i could b wrong. there is no dragon in the game. to change ur pets name type petname nameofpet . to get rid of pets go to the tamer jerrel i think thats his name. u cant have sex with ur pets. u cant ride ur pets.

i have the special adult version of the game... in that version you actually can have sex with your pet... you can also have sex with other player that also have the adult version... very cool..

All pets can grow in lvl. You dont have to have ONLY a lynx you can get Lizards and leopards too.
