Will Guild Wars have crafting?

Guild Wars will not have 'crafting' as such, but rather a pseudo-crafting system; allowing characters to customize their items, although these customized items will not be tradable.

I think Guild Wars will because while I was playing the alpha test I looted some skin or something. I sort of forget what it was but all I remember was that it was definitly an item for crafting something.Another thing there were things in the game like dying armor and thats sort of a craft. Right

It is a sorta craft. They called dyeing a pseudo-crafting system which pseudo means fake in Latin. So its a fake crafting system and that skin item was probably for the dyeing process or just a junk NPC item.

There is no crafting but there is a system where you get materials from you adventures and go to a blacksmaith or someone and heshe will make the item for you...

The blacksmith does the crafting read on the official site. You can go find items and take them to the blacksmith and he will fix up your stuff for you. There will not be crafting like in other games no spending 50 character points 150 hours and 1500 items on failed attempts at making stuff. You just get to customize things a little bit.

i have a question about the crafting system.. when i buy stuff from the materials seller i move my mouse over the item and it says 10 gold or something but when i drag it into the buy box to get a quote it says 200 gold. why is that

Posted by Ryuu at 2005-07-17 00:18:42
That shows that you can only buy common materials 10 at a time... They dont come one at a time unless you find them or salvage a *beep*ty item.

There is crafting. There are armor crafters and weapon crafters who can make new weapons and armor for you but you have little choice. Also you can buy weapon upgrades and armor runes. Not to mention the many basic and mix color combinations of dyes. With that you can make pretty useless or ultra powerful weapons and armor.
