[B][U][COLOR=Silver]Non-RP introduction[/COLOR][/CENTER][/U][/B] The Mithril Knights are a Kinship that is like no other. We are family...we are friends...we are united! We are not here to conquer the known universe...we are here to have fun and to have that fun together. We currently venture into many realms but our first love has always been the Lore and Words of Tolkien. Our members hold respected positions on many of the informative LOTRO sites...such as LOTRO Source where we were given the award of [url=http://www.lotrosource.com/kinship/featured/mk/]Kinship of the Month June 2005[/url]. Ask any of the prominent kinships within the LOTRO community and I doubt one will not show us the respect we have earned over the years. [COLOR=LemonChiffon][CENTER]---oo0oo---[/CENTER][/COLOR] Now let me formally introduce you to our Kinship with a brief version of our RP history: [U][CENTER][B][SIZE=4][COLOR=DarkGreen]The Mithril Knights of Evendim[/COLOR][/SIZE][/B][/CENTER][/U] The many tales speaking of the Mithril Knights vary greatly, but they all agree that this noble Kinship was born from the ashes of Gondolin. A group of Knights from Fair City made their way towards Emyn Uial, Evendim as it is known in the common tongue, and made this beautiful area their new home. In the peaceful years that followed, they prospered and on the shores of Lake Evendim they built a mighty castle. Songs and tales are told of it's majesty, embedded with mithril and ithildin brought from the ruins of their old home. Those years did not last long though, for once again, the Shadow re-emerged and the lands became filled with Sauron's minions. The Mithril Knights were drawn into the First War of the Ring, fighting on the side of Gil-Galad, Elendil and many other valorous warriors. Long did the battle rage on, claiming the lives of many friends, and even more foes, until victory was on theirs. Back to the Mithril Castle did the Mithril Knights return, and decided to take on the role of guardians of the lands around their castle, tirelessly patrolling and eradicating all evil from within it's borders. Over the years their numbers grew, as did their renown, and many men and maidens seeking to join their ranks would journey to Lake Evendim, finding a new home with the Mithril Knights, upholding and passing on their values. Soon enough, their numbers grew to those they had before the First War and the Knights prospered once more, as did the lands around them. However, they were not meant to find peace just yet. Before long another war was upon them, as the Witchking of Angmar took over Fornost and overran the northern lands, constantly attacking the Mithril Castle, but to no avail. The Knights kept all evil from roaming their borders and beyond, and when the time came, they joined with the army of Earnur, in the battle of Fornost, between Lake Evendim and the North Downs. Utter victory was theirs, but not without losses, and their determination to fight evil grew even stronger and to this day they have sworn to protect all the free races of Middle Earth and to vanquish evil & tyranny wherever it may reside. [COLOR=LemonChiffon][CENTER]---oo0oo---[/CENTER][/COLOR] We are the [B]Mithril Knights[/B], and this is our history, our heritage and our pride. My question is: "Will you join us in the fight to end Sauron's resurgence and see to the destruction of his minions and spies?"
