Tatooine POIs

Every planet of the Galaxies has several Points of Interest that you can earn badges for finding. There are several of these landmarks on Tatooine. From the dangerous to the sublime, each location is worth checking out for its own sake. Investigate the crash site of C-3PO and R2D2's Escape Pod. Sneak a peak into Ben Kenobi's House. Just don't get to close to the Great Pit of Carkoon... trust me on that one.

Fort Tusken
Fort Tusken is a settlement on Tatooine situated on the northern edge of the Jundland Wastes. It was abandoned after an attack by Sandpeople. This incident created the term 'Tusken Raiders' to describe Sandpeople. Fort Tusken was briefly resettled by mercenaries and moisture farmers during the height of the Galactic Civil War, but a union of different clans of Tusken Raiders were able to recapture the settlement.
Jabba's Palace, made of stone and metal, is located in the desert known as the Dune Sea on the planet of Tatooine. While Jabba's home is on Nal Hutta, he uses his Tatooine palace as a base of operations for his business ventures on that planet. Jabba has equipped the palace with a number of security devices, including a semi-intelligent droid gatewatcher built into the main entrance. This droid, little more than an electronic eye on a stick embedded in the gate itself, interrogates visitors before deciding whether to allow them to enter. Jabba's major domo, Bib Fortuna, usually also interrogates visitors who got this far before allowing them an audience with Jabba himself.

Jawa Fortress
A well known meeting place for Jawa traders and nomads. A collection of Sandcrawlers forms a formidable barrier, and this is one of the few 'homes' to the Jawas. The Jawa Fortress is the site of the largest, permanent gathering place for the Jawas. Here you can find all kinds of working droids, broken droids, and more salvage than a Toydarian junk dealer could shake a chance cube at.
The Krayt Graveyard is a valley on Tatooine where many krayt dragons go to die. The bones of hundreds of these creatures litter the valley floor. When an aged krayt senses death approaching, it instinctively begins the arduous journey to this resting place. Tatooine settlers long wondered where these creatures went to die. Due to the extreme danger associated with the dragons, not many were overeager to find out. However, a few brave adventurers did search for the graveyard, hoping to find a fabled dragon pearl. None were known to have returned.

Darklighter Compound
Biggs Darklighter was one of Luke Skywalker's best friends growing up. During the attack on the Death Star in Episode IV, he sacrificed his life to buy Luke more time to fire on the station. Biggs' father was an agriculture magnate and the Darklighter Compound is where Biggs grew up.
As C-3PO traversed the Tatooine desert after his argument with R2D2 in Episode I, he passed this huge skeleton of a Greater Krayt Dragon. This certainly did not bolster the courage of the intrepid droid. It remains there to this day and if you find it, you will be awarded one of SWG's coveted badges.

Old Mos Espa Arena Track
The Old Mos Espa Arena Track, or Mos Espa Raceway, was home to the Boonta Eve Classic Pod Race. A very young Annikan Skywalker won this race to win his freedom from Watto in Episode I. If the track wasn't treacherous enough along one particular turn; The Canyon Dune Turn, was a popular camping site for a vengeful tribe of Tuskens known for shooting at passing racers.
The Lars' Homestead was the home of the Lars family. It was a moisture farm located on the outskirts of the Jundland Wastes far removed from the closest city, Anchorhead. The homstead itself was mostly underground, to keep it cool, and always provided enough room for the Lars family. It was here that Luke Skywalker grew up, in the care of his Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.

Obi Wan Kenobi's Home
Ben 'Obi Wan' Kenobi exiled himself to the planet Tatooine where he could watch over the young Luke Skywalker, son of Annakin Skywalker. Unbeknownst to Owen and Beru Lars, Ben kept abreast of young Luke's actions and abilities for many years. After saving Luke from attacking Tuskens, Ben brought him to this home and first told him about his father.
The Great Pit of Carkoon is located within the Dune Sea on the planet Tatooine. The large depression in the sand was the home of the rapacious, if slow-eating, creature called the Sarlacc. Its proximity to Jabba's Palace, paired with the torturous death provided by the Sarlacc, makes it an ideal spot for executions to be carried out for Jabba the Hutt's pleasure.

Escape Pod
Escape pods were standard aboard all deep-space starships. The Tantive IV carried eight six-being escape pods, all very simple in construction. Explosive separator charges ejected such pods away from the ship, and the escape pod's distress beacon was automatically upon launch, although the astromech droid R2-D2 deactivated the distress beacon on this escape pod just before touchdown on Tatooine in order to throw off Imperial pursuit. It only served to slow them down however.
