Lok Bestiary

A barren wasteland, Lok is not a very hospitable place to live yet thousands of creatures call it home. Evolved over the centuries to withstand the extreme temperatures and climate of Lok, the creatures here are tough and resilient. You'd be wise not to travel alone unless you quite skilled with your weapon, or fast on your speeder.

Flit
The Flit is a bloodsucking avian native to the plains of Lok. They hunt in swarms, alternately advancing and retreating, attacking with their sharp beaks. The Flits have tough leathery hides, razor-sharp beaks, and a wingspan greater than the height of the average Wookiee. In 1 ABY, a Trandoshan trainer entered her Flit harasser in an arena pit-fight at the Aerie Casino on Naboo. The creature fought and utterly savaged a larger animal known as a Malkloc.
Although gurk appear dangerous, they are actually fairly harmless animals. Despite their large size, they eat primarily nuts, berries, and fruit. On Lok, many have been trained for domestic use. The variations of gurk are gurk, gurk gatherer, gurk tracker, feral gurk, crazed gurk destroyer, shaggy gurk, gurk whelp and Gurk King.

The giant kimoglia is notoriously difficult to kill. Native to Lok, its thick skin has evolved to prtoect it from the sulfur pools on the planet and is almost impervious to blaster fire. It also boasts one of the most toxic venoms known in the Galaxy.

A Kimogila is the Krayt Dragon-Like creature that roams Lok. They are about the same size as a Krayt Dragon, but a little bit less tough. They are also trainable by Creature Handlers, unlike the Krayt Dragon.

Pharple
A cowardly bird that roams flightless across the deserts of Lok, pharples are insectivores that are generally little trouble to sentient beings.
The snorbal are highly intelligent and also docile creatures, rarely ever attacking other than to defend the herd. The snorba'ls trunk has two 'fingers' at the end, allowing it to manipulate simple objects.
Possessing a highly efficient digestive system, the snorbal makes itself at home among Lok's arid wastelands.

Spined Snake
Hiding among the rocks and sand of the deserts of Lok is the spined snake. It exists in several sizes and varieties, some of which carry deadly venom and others of which are aggressive.
A poisonous reptilian creature with a spiked tail, vesp are native to Lok. They typically fight in pairs, attempting to encircle their prey.

Droideka
The Droideka, or Destroyer Droid, was a feared unit of the Trade Federation and Separatist Army in the days of the Old Republic. Droidekas are designed with one sole function in mind: the complete annihilation of their targets. The bronzen-armored combat automata has a frightening build, insectoid in its mix of curves and sharp angles. Slung at the end of heavy arms are immense twin blasters, which unleash destructive energy at a pounding pace.
