Dathomir Bestiary
Home of the Rancor, outcasts from the Republic, and the force-sensitive Night Sisters. Dathomir is a dangerous planet where few survive for any period of time.

Rancor are massive beasts that roam many areas of Dathomir. Adventurers to the planet must be on constant lookout, else they succumb to a surprise blow that knocks them off their bike and into a swampy grave.
Rancors are rare creatures, found only on scattered worlds such as Dathomir and the Ottethan system. The rancors of Dathomir are stronger and much more intelligent than others. They have even been domesticated by the Witches of Dathomir, though it is likely that only beings as powerful in the Force could ever hope to successfully tame a rancor. |
A tribe of force wielding witches found on Dathomir. They are known for keeping male slaves.
A clan of Dark Side witches on Dathomir, the Nightsisters were created by Gethzerion following her own exile. It is rumored that Palpatine feared their power, so he had the planet interdicted and used atmospheric bombardment to destroy any ships on the planet. They are noticeable by the way the blood vessels near their eyes have ruptured from their rage, and from their use of the Dark Side. |

The malkloc is native to the planet Dathomir and was believed to have descended from bio-engineered stock. The average malkloc resembles a huge tauntaun in appearance, with a longer neck and a heavier body. These creatures are herbivorous by nature, despite their fearsome appearance. |
The kamurith snapper is native to Dathomir and can be found in many places on the planet. They're dangerous foes that will protect their kin with unmatched ferocity. However, they're much sought-after for the valuable resources that can be looted from them. Just be sure you're ready for a fight. |

This species of large arachnid is native to the planet Dathomir, where it inhabits several warrens of caves and caverns. It was said that a clan of Nightsisters, later known as the Spider Clan, took over one of these caves and was actually able to control the smaller gaping spiders, forcing them to do their bidding. Only the largest of the gaping spiders are able to resist the Nightsisters, who in turn feared the large insects that lived deep below ground. |
Not much is known about the Brackaset besides that it iss native to the planet Dathomir, where it travels in large herds and is a common target for hunters looking for resources fromt he massive beast. |

This species of reptavian is native to the planet Dathomir. It is often hunted for it's leathery hide and avian meat and bones. Where there is one reptilian flier, expect to find more who will come to the aid of their fellows. |

This clan of Force-using witches is native to the planet Dathomir. This clan was one of the first to be raided by Brakiss and Tamith Kai, during their early "recruiting" for the Shadow Academy. As their name implied, the witches of the Singing Mountain Clan made their homes at the foot of the Singing Mountain, near the mouth of the Frenzied River. They are rivals to the Nightsister clan. |
