Dear diary, it has been two weeks since I last touched you and the computer. Two weeks of listening to therapists sounding like marine drill sergeants. I bet you that some weirdo types are thinking drug rehab, wrong. Physical rehabilitation. I was nestled in there with other MSers, stroke patients and patients with all different types of joint replacements. I was so desperate for a challenge that I had to race my 82 year old roommate with a hip replacement to the bathroom at 2 in the morning. I won 2 out of 3 races. Can't Arnie keep his mouth shut?

It was my intention to announce that I had finally received my invitation to apply for beta. I could finally stop whining. But, who made the announcement "guess who received her invitation?" I would say that he was talking about himself but he is a he. Maybe his girlfriend, wife or mother but I don't think so. He just could not let me say it. Bummer.

Really bad. I should feel really bad, but I don't. It seems that there have been some issues that have arisen from everyone trying to submit applications at the same time. The application complete message does not appear. Bummer, I'm so sorry that this is happening. Oz suggests that you need to fill out the application again and resubmit it until you receive the message.

For those of us that are still waiting make sure that your registered email address is correct.

OK, I should learn not to shoot my mouth off. My average is only 71 so I guess Oz had not had the time to figure out the correct batch size. I too had the "application complete message missing" problem. So resubmit it you say, was it me or was it harder to complete the application the second time around?

Almost forgot. When asked, Arnie noted that he too had received his invitation. When questioned about any problems with submission, his words were "no problems, everything went as smooth as a baby's bottom." I responded jokingly that it was not nice to rub things into people's faces. I think that he took this seriously. But I will make note that his baby's bottom message did not list j/k after it. J/K Arnie.

Was I in K-Mart or what? I have never seen so many blue lights (sorry, so many blue colored letters) in one place on any one particular message board before. Was it an important message? Not really. What was it about? It was a Beer/Ale discussion. Even our fearless leader joined in listing ales, light and dark, up/down to beer. Guinness it was then but ale it is now. So many developers and artists were responding to the offer of beer. Makes you wonder what's going on in those late night meetings. And, if you are wondering, I don't drink alcohol nor do I do recreational drugs.

I was skimming something somewhere and ran across this topic on the Ten Ton Hammer site. Training I think that I understand. Some one has drawn the negative attention of a bunch of things. The things being animals, bandits, NPC's or the like beat feet in the direction of the target individual. And those things are stampeding and all those (target or not) caught in their path are toast. I am also thinking that zone means the general area around a city, mountain pass, etc. Leash means as far as the things can/will chase you. Is that right?

But, questions. Do people really run around screaming train to zone? What happens to the belongings of those killed? Do the evil people that started the trains just for kicks and giggles ever get banned from the game? Will trains be a part of Vanguard? I will have to do more research on this issue because I am use to things chasing me around in games. Nothing like a little orc race to get your blood pumping. I do realize that I am still thinking old school, perhaps in the 21st century that thrill is not the same.

I know that many of you are thinking that I should feel ashamed of myself for racing that little old woman. But let me explain, her injury was to her hip not her hands and arms. Also, she was on morphine and oxycontin so she was feeling no pain. And, she started it.
