18.4.3 How do you feel about hard level caps (50, 100, 200, etc.)?




I think it's important to set a temporary hard cap that is then increased when an expansion is launched. Any other way and you either have people too high level for the current content and/or (with the soft approach) it's difficult to reconcile their 'post-hard-cap' leveling with the new level cap added after an expansion.

Perhaps some sort of AA system that then more smoothly transitions into the new level cap after an expansion comes out?
