Girls Do It Too

e all know that 90% of the guys that play MMORPGs are horn dogs. My experience with these people, since I prefer to play female characters, is that they are the ones that will send you tells like "Take off your top," or "R u a rael gurl?" These guys can be bothersome. I once had everyone in my party put together 20s apiece to get me to take my top off, which was really tempting at level 15. Still, somehow my morals overcame this offer, and I left the group. The thing about this though is that for every 10 guys that try to get you to take off your pants, there is 1 girl that offers to take off her pants, for a price. Not even half of them are actually girls, either. Some guys enjoy getting other guys to fall for them. Be wary, that hot Night Elf chick might be packing more heat than you're able to handle.

The most common tactic used is basic flirting. Nothing gets taken off, but most of the time the guy walks away feeling like he accomplished some monumental task. This is extremely efficient and works on nearly any guy. Yea, you may be smart enough to know better, but when you lose some of that blood that should be going to your brain you really can't do much about it. That's the point of flirting; to get your way, really. It's nearly impossible when a (supposedly) hot girl is all over you, complimenting you, and saying nice things. The only 100% sure way to guarantee you won't fall for this is castration. Note that you should make sure that castration is alright with your significant other before proceeding to maim yourself.

A slightly less common but still effective tactic is the little peek tactic. This is where the person actually takes the clothes off of their character to get you to do something for them. It is always accompanied by flirting, as well. This tactic works well on all guys, but it is especially effective on those under the age of 18. When your life is consumed by the thought of second base, getting it for relatively little work is great. Unfortunately, these are the kids that go to school the next day, pick up a girl's pencil, and wonder why her shirt didn't magically fly away. They will probably end up with trust issues and general woman issues, and they will end up bitter and alone, living in their parents' basement until they are 40 and some desperate girl settles for them. She will never kiss him, and he will never see her naked.

The third tactic is really not for the same reasons: the be my online boyfriend tactic. Not many people even know this happens mostly because of the rarity of its occurrence. This is pretty much the same thing as having a girlfriend in real life, except with none of the privileges and all of the responsibility. While this tactic often catches lonely desperate people, it is often used by lonely desperate people as well. In this tactic, everyone is getting screwed over. There could be so many better ways to spend your time, say looking for a real boyfriend/girlfriend to feed your need, but instead they hunt the internet for a guy that probably won't even remember this happened a year from now, or remember your name, or what you look like, or what you sound like, or that you even exist or have ever existed or ever will exist. Then again, you're dealing with a guy, so it's normal for them to forget all about you once they are done.

One thing you must understand about these tactics is that even though it's a female character, the chances of it being a female behind the character are low. They are about as low as finding your girlfriend in a tragic shooting accident in which you kill her father while trying to assassinate her brother. There are some cases of such things working out, but don't bet on it. If you really want a boyfriend or girlfriend, go find one which you can see and touch. Well, at least see.
