ecently I started characters across 2 PvP realms. You can't start Horde and Alliance on the same PvP realm, so I had to pick 2 realms. Well, the majority of my time has been spent on my Troll Hunter terrorizing people of all classes and levels. This basically means I got to 33 and started fighting people outside of Southshore. Actually, I didn't pick on the people that were 3 levels or lower than me. Well, except for that Paladin, but he started it. Anyway, I only pick on people I know will have a chance to fight back.
My first encounter with another player was a bad one. I went afk, she showed up, killed me, and when I came back, she was standing there blowing me kisses. I guess she wanted to say "just kidding" to killing me while I had my afk tag up. Maybe between that and the fact that I never responded during the 'fight' wasn't enough to show her that she was ganking nobody. I really don't understand why she would blow me kisses, but it didn't make me not want to kill her as she probably hoped. Once I was back to life of course she took off. When I finally found her, she started trying to attack me again. Too bad she wasn't very smart about it. In less than 10 seconds I was staring down at her crumpled corpse. She only managed to get off one Fireblast. Since she had tried to corpse camp me earlier, I did the same to her. She would try to run, but I would always figure out where she was going and get there first. It was fun hunting her down and kicking her ass. Finally, after I killed her 4 times, I decided to leave her alone since I wouldn't get more honor from her. So I left her alone and went back to my business elsewhere. That was until a Rogue jumped me from behind and stunned me. I could have taken either of them alone, but there were 2 of em, and I didn't have the drop. They killed me, and started doing their /spit and /laugh emotes. I went back, rezzed, and ran for it. Fortunately, they didn't bother to try again.
I decided to do some questing instead of fight with the Alliance for a bit. This really doesn't work out well when you have to quest right next to their big town. I went to kill some Murlocs to the west of Southshore, and got into my biggest fights yet. As soon as I got there, I was jumped by a Rogue who was my same level. Apparently he had never fought a Hunter worth a damn before, because as soon as I Wingclipped him he was done for. The guy didn't even manage to hit me anymore. This happened 3 times before my first inside of Southshore kill. For those of you that don't know, on the southwest side of Southshore, there is a path leading up to the town from the coast. 90% of the people I fought on the coast tried to escape using this method. It is a terrible escape route though; because by the time you're there you're already half dead and the guards take an extra few seconds to come help at this spot. After the Rogue, I got into a fight with a Druid, a Paladin, a Hunter, a Warrior, and that Mage from earlier. None of em seemed to like me killing them, (go figure) and that's where my next problem started.
A level 51 friend had recently shown up to help me since I was doing nothing but fighting with players the whole time. We started questing, and I quickly noticed a few extra dots on my minimap. We had a war party after us. Everybody I had killed excluding the Paladin and Druid had gotten together to come kill me. They even recruited a level 52. Too bad he got mowed down in the first minute of the battle. He didn't stay around much after that. The band of low levels did however. They charged in, started attacking me, and then would retreat when I died. We quickly determined that they would not touch my friend, only me. This continued for a while, with at least 2 of them dieing on every attempt. Eventually they tired of the mutual massacre and we were allowed to quest in peace.
Overall my experience on PvP has been a great one. I am fairly good at it, which is probably why I enjoy it so much. It really is quite fun to show up, mark a player, and watch them try to run away from you as you use Aspect of the Cheetah to get close enough to Wingclip them. It's also fun to kill those people that try to kill you while you're fighting mobs. It's all a matter of knowing how to take on someone, and how to avoid their big hits. That, and using Line Of Sight to break Pyroblast at 5 seconds.
